About The Comedians
A blind man.  A woman who stutters.  A wheelchair user.  A Little Person.  While this may sound like a description of a support group, it is, in fact, the lineup for the "Comedians with Disabilities Act", a comedy troupe that the San Francisco Examiner called "the most unconventional comics to pop up in 2011."  Made up entirely of performers with different disabilities, the troupe brings their "special" brand of humor to audiances throughout the Bay Area.  For more information on The Comedians with Disabilities Act, go to: https://www.facebook.com/comedianswithdisabilitiesact

About The Event Hosts
HCEB creates inclusive communities for people with developmental disabilities or other special needs through quality affordable housing.

The Oakland Mayor's Commission on Persons with Disabilities
represents and addresses the issues faced by people with disabilities.  This 15-member commission, established by City ordinance in 1980, is an appointed group of volunteers who are committed to integrating people with disabilities into all aspects of the community.

Creative Growth Art Center serves adult artists with developmental, mental and physical disabilities, providing a professional studio environment for artistic development, gallery exhibition and representation and a social atmosphere among peers.
